J.G.Ballard R.I.P.

Well, only a matter of days after posting news of Franklin Rosemont's passing, I find myself the bearer of sad news again. One of my favorite authors, J.G.Ballard, has died at age 78. The ideas (memes) found in Ballard's work and the unique and utterly enthralling character of his writing have not only inspired and informed my own artistic work but have had a major influence on much of the culture (or subculture) that I, and many of my friends and fellow artists, writers, musicians, etc., have enjoyed and participated in over the years. He will be sorely missed! Some obits follow:
